Beautiful setting, the Castle is well maintained and the surounding area has lots of interesting things to see. The service is good as well as the food. The bathrooms and rooms are very confortable with great views. We could not use the pool due to bad weather.

Absolutely stunning hotel with excellent food and exceptional staff. We stayed one night and booked through the Paradores website. We ate bar food in the courtyard and it was 100%. Everywhere else in town was closed on Sunday evening but the hotel was busy and still serving. Beautiful room. A lovely swim. Totally recommended. A veritable palace.

Fabulous staff and beautifully restored setting. Excellent local dishes and service at dinner and breakfast. Parking is open but for guests only and easily accessible and easy walk to town centre. We will be back

The outdoor courtyard for drinks and dining was spectacular. The palm trees, foliage, and beautiful stone walls of the castle offered a relaxing and pleasing setting. The overlook above the courtyard was filled with comfortable seating and a lovely view. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful when we inquired about nearby hikes. All of this in the walls of a wonderfully maintained castle made this a memorable and remarkable stay.

Wife and I were here for 4 nights. We drove here from Madrid on a trip of about 3 hours driving mostly on the Autovia highway. Easy to find right in the center of this small town. It appeared that we were the only Americans staying in the castle but language was no problem as I know some Spanish and many people that we met speak some English. First, let me say muchas gracias to Virginia at the reception desk. She was pleasant, professional, helped carry our luggage to our room, suggested sites to see and, was great help when I had a car problem. These Paradores are a wonderful once in a lifetime experience to stay in. It's wonderful to walk all along the outside of the castle with magnificent views not only of the castle walls but also the park down below. Parking is plentiful. You can walk to all restaurants and stores in town. The room and bathroom were both a good size. The twin beds were comfortable. The only disappointment was the food and prices in the restaurant. Much better alternative was to eat at the several good restaurants in town See my reviews for Al Norte and El Labrador. An excellent experience in a charming Spanish town.

Stunning castle hotel, lovely courtyard, refreshing swimming pool. Great dinner using local produce. Nice breakfast. Comfortable room with decent shower. Friendly and helpful reception staff.

Everything about the parador was outstanding—gracious/helpful staff, comfortable and well maintained rooms, great choice of regional gastronomy, and premises that communicated historical context that added much to appreciating the region. Super ambiance!

Great experience. Wonderful historic building. Excellent service (restaurant manager does need some improving of his diplomatic skills). The Parador system is outstanding from beginning to end: the website and reservation process, the check-in, the room quality, the overall ambiance.

The weather was hot and the air con switched off. A very uncomfortable night’s sleep. The dinner service was chaotic for the 1st half an hour during which we were just waiting. Other Paradors (including those in the same area) are much better.
